This work is just a pretext to study some problems like rigging, cloth deformation, human muscle, HDRI lighting and composition. This model is created entirely with 3ds max and the texture was hand painted in Photoshop.The background is inspired by the great work of HR Giger.

Title: Under Pressure

The modeling was done entirely with 3ds max,
by using polymodeling. The textures, including the label,
were made in Photoshop handpainting. The lighting does not contain any special light and was obtained only with a HDRI.The final render was slightly adjusted with Photoshop.

The character represents the ordinary man who can only
protect himself from daily pressure and stress by wearing
a protection suit. Nevertheless, everyone breaks down once
in a while...

I create this image after a wonderfull oil painting of Ralph Goings with name "Waldorf Restaurant", painted in 1976. My work was modeled in 3ds max with polygons in aproximative 8 hours and texturing in 5 hours... Rendering took 30 minutes with Vray. I try to reconstruct the perspective and the strange light...
